National Management Degree College and School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology held a virtual signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 21st April, 2022 Principal of National Management Degree College, Professor and Head of Journalism Department on Myanmar side and Mr. Jin Lingzhi, Secretary of School of Journalism and Information Communication, Dr. Xu Minghua, Professor and Head of International Affairs Office of School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology on China side signed MOU.
The signing of this MOU aims to strengthen the academic exchanges and research cooperation in promoting respective capacity building, mutual cooperation and academic and students exchanges between the National Management Degree College and School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
The virtual signing ceremony was held on Zoom online meeting. Principal of National Management Degree College first gave a welcome speech, and Mr. Jin Lingzhi, Secretary of School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology offered brief remark. After the two sides introduced the faculty members who participated in the virtual signing ceremony, Principal from National Management Degree College and Mr. Jin Lingzhi and Dr. Xu Minghua from School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology signed the MOU. After the signing MOU, the two sides exchanged the souvenirs.
The virtual student exchange ceremony between National Management Degree College, Yangon, Myanmar and School of Journalism and Information Communication, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China was held on 25 th May, 2023 via Zoom online platform. In the ceremony, Principal of National Management Degree College, Dr. Ni Lar Myint Htoo delivered a welcome speech. Then, Professor Dr. Xu Minghua, Director of International Affairs Office, and Dr. Xiong Shuo, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office of School of Journalism and Information Communication, HUST offered brief remarks on the mutual cooperation.
The students of Journalism Department from National Management Degree College and School of Journalism and Information Communication, HUST gave presentations after taking the group photos together. The students from National Management Degree College were divided into three groups and each group presented individual topics named, “Newspapers in Myanmar through the Ages”, “Development of Myanmar Radio Broadcasting Services” and “Myanmar Television Industry: From past to present.” And, the students from School of Journalism and Information Communication, HUST made presentations about “Discourse Transformation of Mainstream Media Hosts in China”, “Focus on 5G+, China’s new media development status and prospects” and “Changes of News Production: The development of news curation in China.”
The two sides exchanged the views and ideas in the comment and discussion sessions and the participants talked about the great contributions to promote the development of journalism and communication, media education and cultural exchanges between China and Myanmar.
